DEBORAH RADER

 Deborah Rader was essentially born an artist and was raised in Detroit, Michigan. Her early professional background began in advertising & design for a variety of retail corporations. Working in a variety of mediums such as oils, acrylic, metal clay charcoal. pastel, ink, & graphite has been the inspiration of her art.

 

As a contemporary artist, Rader responds to her environment in a non traditional manner , whether it is the beauty of the landscape or the intensity of observing daily life. In whatever she creates, Rader imbues her work with a passionate and determined spirit.

 

She has studied art at the Center of Creative Studies, Detroit, MI, Wayne State University, Detroit, MI, Oakland University & Community College, Rochester & Auburn Hills, MI, Birmingham/Bloomfield Art Center, Birmingham, MI, Sante Fe Clay, Sante Fe, New Mexico, Anderson Ranch Arts Center, Snowmass Village, CO, where she was awarded a ceramic sculpture residency 2006/7.

 

Her work has been shown in galleries in the Detroit, Aspen, CO, Washington DC and Florida.

 

Rader work is part of private and corporate collections internationally.
